CIRCUS CAMPS – Springbreak & Summer

A weekly French Summer Circus Camp for the age groups listed as 5-7yrs and 8-16yrs, that travel to six communities including Victoria, Tofino, Ucluelet and North Vancouver. 

Acrobatics, tightrope walking, juggling, unicycling and more! They learn the fine art of circus performing taught by one of the original founders of Cirque du Soleil, Benoit Ranger (Transporteurs de Rêves).  With fully qualified, professional and experienced circus leaders to help guide and train the students, we transform a gym into a circus training ground. At the end of the week, students present an amazing performance for parents and friends, and each of them receive their Beginner or advanced Circus Training Certificate. For every Camp an average of 100 attend the final performance and, most of the time, the local medias cover the event. 

Instructor Benoit Ranger Profile

After 15 years in the circus trade – three of which with Cirque du Soleil, two with the Théatre des deux mondes and five at Radio-Canada ’s variétés – Benoit Ranger, better known as the clown Ben La Barouette, thinks up a totally new circus show formula. In 1987, as this new idea gains support within the circus arts community, he sets up Les Transporteurs de Rêves / The Dream Circus a multi-displinary Circus, Theatre, Variety company doubling up as a talent promotion and show production agency.

Acclaimed by an audience of 125 000 during the Great Winter Circus of Montreal in 1988 and since that their North American audiences have grown steadily, performing at over 60 Galas, Les Transporteurs de Rêves / The Dream Circus is one of the largest circuses and special events companies in Canada.

Be it on TV or the stage, a customized act or group animation, in a park, a stadium, a community centre, a festival, a charity, a business conference, Les Transporteurs de Rêves / The Dream Circus really creates circus and theatre wherever it is … under the big top or the decorated room!
