Visions Ouest Productions a lancé les 28e Rendez-vous du cinéma québécois et francophone le 18 février 2022 au SFU Woodward’s, 149 West Hastings Street à Vancouver. Une programmation en salle et en ligne est offerte aux cinéphiles jusqu’au 31 mars 2022.
Le film a été disponible sur Eventive du 28 février jusqu’à l’été 2022.

Synopsis:
Synopsis : Cécile, une fille 10 ans, déménage dans le sud de la France avec sa mère, Louise. Malheureusement pour elle, l’intégration avec les autres enfants du village n’est pas chose facile. Lorsqu’un cirque de passage s’installe à côté, Cécile découvre que le poney Poly est en réalité une vedette maltraitée.
Synopsis: Cécile, 10 years old, moves to the south of France with her mother, Louise (Julie Gayet). Integration with the other children of the village is not easy. When a passing circus settles down next door, Cécile discovers that Poly the star pony is being mistreated. She decides to protect him and organize his escape! Pursued by Brancalou (Patrick Timsit), the disturbing director of the circus, and the mysterious Victor (François Cluzet), Cécile and Poly embark on a journey full of twists and turns, a real initiatory journey and an incredible story of friendship…ng with a mysterious storyteller sends young Leonardo da Vinci and his friends on an incredible adventure to find a hidden treasure.

L’écrivain et aventurier du Grand Nord Nicolas Vanier, auteur de plusieurs films à succès (LE DERNIER TRAPPEUR, L’ÉCOLE BUISSONNIÈRE) revient donc à CINEMANIA un an à peine après y avoir présenté son excellent DONNE-MOI DES AILES (Prix du Public Mel Hoppenheim et Film de clôture 2019). Lui qui avait par ailleurs signé le premier volet de BELLE ET SÉBASTIEN en 2013, replonge avec POLY dans l’univers de Cécile Aubry, romancière pour la jeunesse et réalisatrice de feuilletons TV très populaires dans les années 1960. Il y a dans ce film tout ce qui fait le charme du cinéma de Vanier : un sens aigu pour l’aventure, un discours écologiste fort et beaucoup d’émotions.

Nicolas Vanier, writer and adventurer of the Great North, author of several successful films (THE LAST TRAPPER, SCHOOL OF LIFE), returns to CINEMANIA barely a year after having shown his excellent SPREAD YOUR WINGS (Closing Film and Mel Hoppenheim Audience Award 2019). He, who had also authored the first part of BELLE AND SEBASTIEN in 2013, dives again with POLY into the universe of Cécile Aubry, children’s author and director of popular TV serials in the 1960s. Viewers can find everything that makes the charm of Vanier’s films: a keen sense of adventure, a strong ecological discourse and plenty of emotions.
