Jean-Marie et Micheline Claret: céramiques

Jean-Marie and Micheline Claret have been designing and making pottery since 1976, first on Hornby Island and now in Vancouver. Combining a strong French aesthetics background with West Coast influences, gives their pottery a very distinctive appeal. Their work is mainly functional and designed to withstand daily use. They use three different stoneware clays, high fired in electric kilns: this process gives durability to their pottery, which is lead and cadmium free, oven, microwave and dishwasher safe. They created most of the glazes they use which gives their work a unique look. Micheline and Jean-Marie strive to create useful work, sometimes unique pieces, which fulfill their function impeccably at an affordable price.
