THE REPAIRMAN

This is the Vancouver premiere of a 10 minute short film produced, written and directed by Zoltán Barabás.

Leon is a repairman under a lot of stress.  He gets more than what he bargained for when he arrives to fix a mysterious woman’s furnace.

ZOLTAN BARABAS

Zoltán Barabás is a Canadian and EU (Hungary) citizen born in Sweden to a Hungarian father and Swedish mother. After a decade as a Canadian Naval Officer, Zoltán became an actor and filmmaker in the mid 1990s, working in Vancouver and Budapest, Hungary. Twelve years of experience as an actor (in Canada and Hungary) has seen Zoltán work with Robin Williams, Ben Kingsley, Julian Sands, Asia Argento, Armin Mueller-Stahl and Shawn & Marlon Wayans. He began his filmmaking career producing and directing corporate videos and TV commercials. Zoltán served as an Executive Producer on the Hungarian version of “The Tonight Show,” and also served in a producer capacity on four feature films. He has written six feature length screenplays, of which one has been optioned. “Shattered” and “The Repairman” are Zoltán’s short film directorial debuts. Zoltán will be directing his feature length directorial debut in summer 2008.
