Dr. Roden went through the concentration camps of Terezienstadt and Auschwitz at the very young age of seventeen. Raised in the religion-indifferent environment of the first Czechoslovakia Republic, he hears his first prayer on is departure to camp. His opinion of God is directly influenced by atrocities through which he lived. His and his wife’s philosophy is expressed by following: “If you went through the experience as we did, you became pretty sure of the inexistence of God. He couldn’t allow such a thing to happen, but still if He does exist, Eva and I used to be angry with Him. Lately, as we can see our grand-children grow and our lives decline, we forgive Him.”

This documentary is the man’s portrait and his indestructible love for his wife. A Love stronger then the Nazis!
